Edit Your Dashboard: Customize Layout & Cards
Customize your Email Audit Engine dashboard by adding, resizing, and rearranging metric cards.
July 10, 2025
Once you’re familiar with how dashboards work in Email Audit Engine, it’s time to make them your own. Whether you’re optimizing for weekly team check-ins or client-specific views, the Edit Dashboard mode lets you tailor everything to your unique workflow.
Why Customize?
Not all marketers track the same metrics. Custom dashboards let you:
- Focus on what matters most to you or your clients
- Compare different campaign types or performance windows
- Build reusable layouts for different business goals
- Save time by seeing everything in one clean view
Entering Edit Mode
Click the Edit button in the top right of your dashboard to enter customization mode. You’ll notice the top bar turns blue—this means you’re in edit mode.
⚠️ Note: Custom dashboard editing is available to Standard and Premium users only.
Understanding the Grid
Each dashboard is structured using a responsive grid layout made up of square blocks:
- Desktop: 4×3 grid (12 blocks total)
- Laptop: 3×4 grid
- Tablet: 2×6 grid (Large cards convert to Medium)
- Mobile: 1×12 stack (Only Small cards display)
You can’t exceed the grid limit—but you can always create a new dashboard for more layouts.
Adding & Arranging Cards
Here’s how to build your perfect dashboard:
- Choose a Category from the left side menu (e.g., Performance, Revenue, Subscribers)
- Select a View: Choose between Overview, Timeline, Bar, List, or Map (if available)
- Drag and Drop cards onto the grid
- Resize cards using the Small (1 block), Medium (2 blocks), or Large (3 blocks) options
- Rearrange cards freely on the grid—cards will snap into open spaces
- Remove a card by hovering and clicking the “x” icon
💡 Tip: Cards show a red highlight if there isn’t enough space—just move or delete others to make room.
Save, Rename, or Duplicate Dashboards
Once your layout looks right:
- Save your dashboard (and name it if it’s new)
- Switch between templates using the top dropdown
- Duplicate a layout to create variations (e.g., per region, per client)
- Delete unused dashboards from the dropdown menu
Best Practices for Layouts
Goal
- Compare trends over time
- Summarize KPIs
- Focus on one area
- Build mobile-first views
- Name dashboards
Try This
- Use Timeline cards (Large or Medium) side by side
- Use Overview cards in Medium size across the top
- Create dashboards for Deliverability, Ecommerce, or Automations
- Use descriptive names like “Weekly Campaign Review” or “Automation ROI”
What’s Next?
Once your dashboard is saved, you can use it to:
- Monitor live data during campaigns
- Export it into reports (see next article)
- Share your layout by inviting users or exporting a PDF report
Your dashboard is your data hub—make it work for your team, your clients, and your workflow.
